Tuesday, Jan. 19th... Today Marks A Historical Landmark in Massachusetts Again...

As it was in December 16th, 1773...an act by colonists, which gave birth to the iconic event which stands in American History today as the Boston Tea Party, a group of colonists boarded three British ships loaded with taxed tea and destroyed the cargo by throwing the bundles of tea into the harbor, because officials in Boston refused to send the taxed cargo back to Britain. That was a key event in the growth of the American Revolution...much like the event of the day in Massachusetts today. They couldn't come up with a more fitting legacy for Ted " Chappaquiddick" Kennedy than having the people of Massachusetts's repudiate his "life's work" on the eve of health care passage. Let's face it, this mans life should have been spent making license plates, not legislation. He should have never held the seat from that fateful night of Mary Jo Kopechne's death.
Anyway, today is the day that can basically save America from possible cataclysmic disaster as these wise twentieth century colonists take that seat and use it to possibly stop the passage of a terrible mistake forced on all Americans, except those in government positions. Even with that in mind, these politicians must think about what their actions are going to cause for them in the very near future. As far as this Health care issues, the pushers of this bill seem to forget that people are going to begin getting taxed for it from the get go, with three years before it kicks in. They must be idiots to believe Americans will not march upon their offices, in their home states, with knives and arrows, ready to scalp them somewhere during the three years of collecting huge health care payments while preparing a free ride for illegal immigrants and giving them nothing.
I for one cannot understand how PinocchiObama has any positive rating at all.

I do know that Obama and the Whitehouse staff, along with democrats all over are sweating the outcome of the vote today.
Also, this very true and interesting piece, listed in American Thinker by Rabbi Aryeh Spero on the president’s seeming inability to be an adversary against the global jihad levied against the West, entitled President Obama Must Choose Sides:

Mr. Obama said, “I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.” Defending the honor of Islam and protecting Muslims is one of the goals that Barack Obama has set for himself. It constitutes a personal definition of his presidency. But is he doing so to the point of misleading the public in general, and at the risk of jeopardizing the American people in particular?
The near-deaths of three hundred people on Christmas due to an Islamic terrorist plot — an act of war against America — did not rouse Obama from golf and relaxation until three days later. When he finally spoke, he disrespected us, as before, by claiming that this was a “lone event” disconnected from anything larger. But most Americans knew what it was, and the subsequent reports and al-Qaeda announcement told us that this was an act of jihad, a part of the larger scheme of radical Islam in its war against America.
After the Fort Hood massacre, the president’s first reaction was to intone the silly assertion that we “do not know what prompted this outrage.” In fact, everyone immediately intuited what was verified more each day after the carnage: that devotion to the Islamic cause generated Nidal Hasan’s decision to kill American infidels. The president was strangely unwilling to tie these murders to Islam or jihad or imams, even knowing that the jihadist yelled “Allah aqbar” as he mowed down innocent Americans.
In all these matters, Mr. Obama’s first concern seems to protect things Islamic rather than name and fight the Islamism intent on destroying us. This attitude predates his presidency, and it is one of the animating and personal goals of his worldview. Even before becoming senator of Illinois, he tells us in The Audacity of Hope (pp.261) of his earlier decision: “I will stand with them [Muslims] should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” For Barack Obama, the recognition that this is not simply generic “extremism,” as he likes to call it, but specific to Islam and carried out by devout young Muslim men borders on the “ugly direction” against which he promised to stand. But by so doing, Mr.Obama is misleading the country and standing in the way of the measures needed to protect the American people and win the war on terror.

There were at least five Radical Islamist group links too, but I will not perpetuate them by listing them here, but believe me, they are there to be seen. I looked on their sites and it is extremely difficult to see anything less than innocent, but as we all know they are masters of disguising and coding their postings used to pass information and their current and future agendas, so I will not list them.
For now, we will anxiously await the historical landmark vote in New England today.
